google directions gone after update.

Nav and maps are all one program now, you lost nothing. When you open Maps looked for the curved arrow at the top of the screen, that is your Nav.

Just hit uninstall updates and you'll be back to the old version. The new Google maps is horrible! Google finally is making their move and pushing maps into what they've intended all along, another method to try and force you to use Google+ and force you to view "places" of wherever you're near. Think of billboards you see on the side of the road as you drive - well now they're on your phone too. It all just boils down to a slick marketing device, and we can't complain because it's been free for so long, it's time to pay the bill.

It's turned into a lousy, creepy app now.

I uninstalled the update as well. I believe that the new update messes with my phone's ability to make and receive calls. Maybe just me, but I will not use the update for a while.

I'm on 7.0.2 and still have both apps. I've seen some mention they lost the blue arrow. Not sure what's up.

Hating the updates in general... I have been uninstalling most of them, such as maps, play, hangouts, etc. Why don't they fix the problems without making the interface less usable. I am just about ready to go insane trying to learn how to keep up. I have not seen any improvements, just features removed without a better way to do anything, except waste hours of my time! I am not even sure if it is Motorola, Google, Verizon, android or industrial sabotage from apple that is causing all of this grief, but I hope that you guys get it together someday!

I guess if they got it all working right now, they won't be able to sell you a new phone every 6 months.
