Good with photoshop, I could use a little help

Wondering if anyone could take this image and alter it. I need two images actually. One exactly the way it is just with the background removed (transparent). And the second one with the transparent background but with a blue glow to the star. I'm planning on using for my launcherpro app drawer button.
