going back stock, yet still rooted?

so when google puts out updates for the Nexus how do i obtain them running a rom?

i am currently running zygote 2.1, great rom btw.. updated frequently.

do i download the update from google and it returns my phone back to the original rom or what?

you would have to remove the rom. but with it being a google phone, the source code for the update will be out and itll be implemented into the current roms real quick.

that true. i forgot how early google releases the source in relation to when OTAs are actually pushed out
