OK, my incredible comes tomorrow. :icon_ banana: yay for that.

My question is is does the gmail app still "push" my gmail or does it update like every (insert frequency)? thank you all.

So looking forward to tomorrow

It uses ActiveSync to push mail to your phone. Some folks like to argue that ActiveSync is not true push email (neither is Blackberry for that matter), but yes, it will push email to your phone immediately, no waiting 15 minutes or more to get email.

Right, there is no setting for frequency to check. In practice, gmail arrives in less than a minute. My theory is that it checks for email every minute, so on average it takes about 30 seconds to get an email.

Unfortunately, sometimes gmail has problems and it takes over 10 minutes to get an email--this is rare.
