Gingerbread Flash

So i got a question about the new droid x gingerbread update... i was going to flash to the newest update *non rooted* version... and i was wondering if i want to go back to stock froyo is there anything special i need to do beside find a stock froyo file and do the same thing as flashing to gingerbread....Im not new to hacking just new to it on android....


BTW im on a non rooted stock froyo droid x ...thanks for any help

the newest gingerbread is flashed in recovery but to get back to froyo you have to flash an sbf to your phone from your computer. it's more complicated but only just, and there are lots of people here that can help you if you run in to a snag.

thanks and one more question if i wanted to update OTA when the real gingerbread rolls out will i have to SBF back to froyo or as long as im not rooted on gingerbread can i just do an ota update

as far as i know you will still have to sbf back to froyo to get the official ota
