Gingerbread 2.3 for Epic

I heard that Sprint's Samsung Epic users were not getting the 2.2 update, and instead going into 2.3 sometime this month.

Does anyone have any clarification on this?

There are rumors out there that is the case. Samsun Fascinate on Verizon, the one you mention, and the version on ATT too. The Nexus S is basically the same phone, and it has 2.3 now, so it's probably just a matter of weeks before they update too.
