Get rid of shadow on lock screen liberty 2.0?

There is a dark shadow on the liberty 2.0 lock screen which looks good with the default wallpaper but not so good with my wallpaper. Is there any way to get rid of the dark shadow?

I assume this is baked into the default theme. Maybe try other themes?

That's included with the default theme, looks better on light walls -- I'll agree to that. Only way to remove would be to flash a theme. I can look into creating a patch to adjust that, in the future.
