General Housekeeping guidance Needed - cache & sd card issues

I just got my first 'low memory' alert on my DROID/non rooted FRG22D

Here are a few questions...

- can/should I move and run apps from my sd card?
- I have seen some mentions about clearing cache for some apps. Should I routinely do this? If so, do I need to stop the apps first?

- My DROID seems to be running a bit sluggish. I have LauncherPro installed? Any tips for getting the zip back?

Thanks

Move what you can to the SD card, but do not move any widgets there.

Yes, there is some cache cleaner apps. If you're rooted I recommend Cache-Mate, it will clean your Droid out quickly with a single push. If you are not rooted try quick app cache cleaner, it does a good job but you do have to do it one at a time.

If all else fails, the do a factory data reset out of your privacy section. That will clean up all your junk. You will have to manually install your free apps, your paid ones will be in the Market downloads waiting to be installed.
