Froyo for phones OTHER than Droid

Is there any kind of roll out schedule for when Froyo will roll out to phones other than the Motorola Droids? I assume that *eventually* everyone will get the new OS....(I"m an LG ALLY)

That is not a safe assumption also Motorola doesn't control releases for other phones. Check LG's wedbsite and LG community

It really depends on the phone manufacturer. Believe it or not, the majority of older phones will likely not be getting froyo as some haven't even gotten to 2.1 yet.

I know that Mortorla doesnt control the Android software -- or who gets it. My inquiry was based more on when phones "other than Moto Droids" might see the updates since it is starting to roll out to the Droid now. My LG has the 2.1 so I am hopeful that it will get the 2.2 -- mostly for the little things, like being able to control font size in GMail...my eyes arent getting any younger....
