From D1 to DX

I had so many issues with my D1 (I have gone thru 6) that they are sending me a DX that I will have on Tuesday. Here are some questions I have:

1. What is the easiest way to UNroot my D1?

2. Other than a one-click app, what is the easiest way to root my DX? If I can use RSD Lite then that would be the closest to what I am used to.

3. Can I just take all the apps that I backed up from my D1 with Astro or Titanium Backup and load them on my DX? What about the ones that are only supposed to work on Froyo?

I thought I had another question but now I can't remember. Thanks.

I think this is the first case of a DX replacement for a Droid 1 that's good to know

The best way to unroot your D1 is here http://www.droidforums.net/forum/rescue-squad-guides/39254-sbf-root-unroot.html

The guide on http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-hacks/74592-how-root-your-droid-x.html is here

And the Titanium Theory should work, just make sure it is Market Apps that you are installing and no system/data

Thanks. They told me that the tech who promised me an X as a replacement was wrong for doing so, but because he DID make the promise they said they would follow thru with it. They tried to wiggle out of it but when pressed they went ahead and did it.

I got the X about 6 weeks ago,i gave my droid to my fiance,we are awaiting droid #3 as of this week thanks to 2.2 problems...I hope you are happy with the X,I really liked the droid, the X..well other than the screen size, not so much....From my experience, the X is a better telephone, thats about it....3g and GPS signals are weaker,as is the speaker, and battery life.I hope you have better luck than me..
