File Separation Question, NEED HELP ASAP

Is there any way to separate the files i load onto my droid? I want to have a bunch of ringtones, but I don't want them to come up in my music player. I want just my songs and podcast to come in the music sections, not my 3 second text ringtone.

I am also looking for a fix for this. what needs to happen is the music player only look at one folder instead of the entire sd card.
ive tried the suggested /sdroot/media/audio/notifications placement but the music player still finds them and mixes them together.

Using ASTRO File Manager:
try /sdcard/ringtones and /sdcard/notifications.
This is how I have it set up and none of them show up in the music player.

I also had ringtones showing from /sdcard/com/malbio and /sdcard/bluetooth in the music player until I moved them out.
