FC issues with Handcent & ChompSMS

Yesterday 2.2 was loaded to my phone, love it!!! But now Handcent, ChompSMS, and Message SMS force close all the time.

Removed Task Killer, reloaded Handcent, still the program force closes.

any help in this issue would be great.

How was 2.2 "loaded" to your phone, did you get the OTA or did you push it manually, also are you rooted?

If there is a problem that is causing your stock messaging appplication not to work, then you would also have force close problems with third party mms apps as they run on top of the stock.apk

2.2 OTA, Not rooted. Both the stock and ChompSMS Messaging app FC. Very frustration to say the least!!

Does the stock messaging app work ?

The native message app closes even faster, I may perform a factory reboot, still undecided. Have an fourm post into ChompSMS.

If your stock messaging app is force closing than this is the problem, Handcent and Chomp run on top of your stock mms.apk without a proper working stock messaging application these third party apps will not work either
