Facebook photos

I've had my X since the first day it came out and the phone is awesome except for the TERRIBLE battery life (but thats another story).

I took some great photos at the beach today and wanted to show them off on facebook. I uploaded the ones I liked and when I took a look at them they were smaller then expected. I know they are big photos, one is currently my wall paper right now. Does anyone know why they shrunk? I know this isn't a facebook forum but I figured someone on here might know why that happened.

how did you upload them? did you do it through share and the camera, or did you use the upload link in the facebook app? I've noticed that the upload link in the facebook app shrinks the pics before it uploads them, but if you use the share through the camera or gallery, they come out fine.
