Where do I find what version of FB I am currently running? It was preinstalled on my LG Ally when I got it - I see someone posted that there is an update available, but when I went to the market, it strictly reads "install" not "update" -- so I didnt do anything....I tried looking at SETTINGS >>APPLICATIONS -- but FB is NOT listed amongst everything else. I'm sure I am missing a simple and obvious step....duh!

open FB go home>menu>about. A new window will pop out and you will see your current version there.

That's what I expected to see...but when i go to FB -- and use the menu key my options SETTINGS & Log Out...so if I go to SETTINGS....here is a "helpful tips" but not an "about" ....
Ugh! I'm sure this is staring me in the face and I'm just blocking!

lg ally probably has its own UI that includes FB, so you are probably not using the official facebook app.

Well that might make more sense....Can anyone confirm?
I have the same situation with my Droid...no way to see the version from the app itself...i had to go from my home screen, Menu>Applications>Manage Applications>(Filter All)>Facebook......the version is at the top under the title.

UGH! I said all along I knew the answer was right in front of me...I completely FORGOT about the silly FILTER on the MANAGE APPLICATIONS -- Banging head on desk --

You're welcome......if now I could get a workaround for that stupid bug that shows posts time-stamped as "Dec. 31 at 6:59 pm" and won't allow you to load older posts.....
