Fabio is the developer of the folderorganizer app and has let me do some beta testing for him. He has now asked me to call out to you to do some beta testing as well. Please dl the attached .zip and rename it to .apk and install then report back here if you find any bugs.

You guys are going to really love this newest update!! It now has skinnable widgets!!! There are 3 sizes and they include options to show/hide text, show options button in toolbar, show options button in grid. This is going to make setting up your desktop a snap. At the moment the grid has 4 across but he will be adding more options eventually.

This screenshot shows the medium “tools” widget with my custom smoked theme and the small widget with the default theme.

Here are some instruction for creating your own skins. Please share what you come up with

Initial Reaction

Very nice UI with a lot of options, I think I would make use of the FolderLableWidget more than anything else, a quick "Pop-Up" shortcut to a Genre of Applications of my choice is a nice option.

As far as the Larger Widgets; I theme all of my Widgets with Fully Transparent Backgrounds so it would be the same as having four icons across my DroidTop. With the addition of an option to have SixAcross it would be more appealing

Only problem...in the PullDown Notification Panel the text within the Ongoing Folder Organizer that say's "Main Menu" is Black, for those of us with Custom Smoked or Dark Framework this would take some HexWork and Resigning of the .apk which any updates would overwite, or pushing of it into the System and then updates are dealt with on a whole different level. So for me this would be an issue if not resolved, mabye an option in the settings menu

Another observation; I kept this app running in the background yesterday and by 2:00 my phone shut down, completely dead. I am on my Droid constantly throughout the day so this app was running in the BG throughout the morning and early afternoon, but I have the Seidio 2800 Mah Extended Battery and have never ran it down in a single day, much less by 2:00 in the afternoon

My thoughts...some real time battery consumption tests should take place and mabye some adjustments on how it runs in the background.
