Exchange email stopped working

All of a sudden one day I opened my Email app and it was just a blank black screen.

I tried to remove the account, wipe the data from the email app, resetup the account, all to no avail.

I got so desperate I completely wiped and started from scratch with SS 4.95, tried 4.9 as well, totally fresh... Still doesn't work.

I had to switch over to the latest version of BB to get my email working again and I realllllllllly want to switch back to SS.

Any ideas?

Same here. I have resorted to using my corporate webmail for my exchange account. It sucks, but I don't have to use it that often anyway. Maybe Chevy can come through with a fixed Email.apk again?

(The email app works for my hotmail accounts.)

I actually had this problem today as well, however the problem was that our exchange server was just upgraded to Exchange 2010 SP1 and the server name changed along with it and our IT department didn't tell anyone until later today.

In googling the problem, it does appear that some older Email.apk files don't work with the newer versions of Exchange due to a provisioning issue so that might be the problem.

Thanks Chevy! email.apk downloan did the trick...

It seemed the 2.2.1 email app was having problems allowing the Device Administrator policy notification appear, which was preventing it from ever connecting. weird.

Thanks again, back to SS, yayyyy!!!!!
