My Rezound is still going strong however I noticed that I had to recharge my battery way too often lately. I thought its time for new battery so I bought new one on Amazon. It was not any better. I noticed that my wifi is using way too much power so I turned off the wifi and, voila, the battery lasts long again. Now, it's not a big deal (costwise) for me to turn off wifi as I use the cell tower for my wifi anyway. The question is why did the wifi start using so much power lately?

The most likely answer is the signal level has dropped, so it has to bump up it's output power... This could be for any number of reasons like the antenna has moved, firmware updated with a minor incompatibility to the Rezound, a bad connection between the antenna contacts and the back cover of the phone itself, etc... Hard to say honestly, the device could just be showing it's age and starting to fail too.
