email - force close

Today, for no apparent reason, email is requiring a force close. All email seems to be working ok, but the following message appears and i must force close: "The application Email (process com.android email) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then given the option to force close or send report. Any assistance would be appreciated. I have tried a battery pull which didn't help.

I don't think anyone should use the stock Email app. Use k9.

Clearing Email program data/cache might fix the stock app though.

I had that happen once. Turned out to be a specific email that Droid didn't like. It had multiple attachments, but I don't know if or what attachment was the problem.

Everything was OK after removing that message (I moved it to another folder) and I reconfirmed the offender by resending it to myself (the error returned).

Look for the culprit to be one of the last emails you received before getting the error.

Thanks to you both!! I deleted all of today's email and that appears to have solved the problem. Will look at K9 this evening.
