Edit Ringtone Name

I downloaded a ringtone and was able to save it but it is listed only as a number. Can I edit this so I can put the name/artist ? If yes, how ?

Connect your phone to your computer. Find the ringtone file on your SD card and rename it (should be in a folder labeled "ringtones" or "media" )

You could also use a free file manager app from the market, such as Astro, instead of your computer.

Or...

Download Ringdroid from the market. Find the ringtone file in the app and long press on it. An edit option should come up allowing you to save the ringtone under a different name.
