Yes, the sound toggle is for the zoom. No zoom for video. I find the quality lower when you zoom.

thanks...I was trying to finger swipe to zoom and found out that doesnt work

Finger swipe works on the Droid. I like the way it is set up on the DX much better.

you can also download FX camera and theres another app called FX zoom, however I have yet to try either so I cant give you any feedback....reviews seemed good though
