Dumb newb live wallpaper question

I am new to Droid tech... (moved over from a crackberry) So please go easy me. :blink:

What am I doing wrong...

When I set a "Live" wallpaper it will go away to the basic "X" wallpaper upon the next wake up.

What do I need to change to keep my live wallpaper?

Do you happen to have something like WallSwitch installed? The same thing happened to me until I went into WallSwitch and turned off its automatic switching of my wallpaper.

Check your display settings, I noticed on my old x there was a check box to automatically switch backgrounds, but a cpl of my friends with the same phone didn't have it, kinda weird but that's where I would start.

No "WallSwitch" and no auto switch option.

Could it be some sorta power saver thing?

I've only had it a few months, and the only thing Ive installed are a couple games.
