I tried to root my droid x. As far as I know it worked. I now have a super user icon in my main menu. But I downloaded a droid x over clock app and it says that.I am not rooted. Any ideas?

Download Terminal Emulator and type in: su ,on the first line. It should return: # ,if rooted.
What overclock app are you trying to use?

I went to the apps and I beleive that it is called droid overclock. I paid 1.99 for it. I ran it when I first rooted my phone and it worked. But I got a new phone because of camera problems and this time its not working. Do I download that on the phone or to my computer and put it on my phone? I have no idea what I am doing. I am new to this.

If you don't know what you're doing, you should research some things FIRST!
