I am trying to .sbf my Droid X using RSD Lite. When I tried to flash my phone to CM7 it stuck me in bootlloop. Currently I am just trying to resurrect my DX from what would appear to me the grave. I have tried installing the lastest of the Motorola drivers, and using Chevyno1's ABD, and just RSD Lite, none will recognize my phone. Any help would greatly appreciated. Thanks.:frown:

Have you tried different usb ports? Also, sometimes it helps to reboot the computer and try again.

Are you a member over at DXF also? They might have some more options. Have you tried 1KDS's method? Everyone who has swears by it.

Hang on a second. Is this your first rom flash? If so, sometimes if you get stuck in a bootloop, then pull the battery, replace, go to stock recovery, and wipe from there. That will straighten it out most of the time.

What does it say in rsd lite?
What version are you using?
And your phone is in bootloader mode correct?
Are you using the stock moto cable?
And the link for 1kds's method us in me signature under the Linux method ... And it is extremely simple

Yes Yes and Yes.
I have tried installing the Linux program that you're talking about, but my computer wont get it to work. I have even tried virtual box's (wont install ubuntu) and changing my own ubumtu system, still will not work.

Wiping the cache or doing a factory data reset won't help either.

What version of rsd lite are you using?
Since rsd is recognizing your phone.. What happens when you tell it to run?
Your computer should read it as a flash device and not as a Droid x because of how the phone is booted up in...

Right on, Nemo. Trying to think what else we can try.
Duh, have you got another computer to try it on? Sorry, I'm a slow kid tonight for some reason. Lame idea, I know, but hey, it might help.

Come to think of it, I did have this same problem one time. It was a while back, so I just finally remembered. For me it was a bad cable and I couldn't get it to work for me until I got a new one. Have you got another cable you could try?
