droid x mp3's --> jvc deck issues

My jvc kd-r610 will not play songs from my droid x. The phone is connected to the usb hub on the faceplate via usb cable. The deck reads: CANNOT PLAY. thanks in advance

I tried finding a different way to play mp 3's on my deck. It seems like aux is the only way I can play anything from my phone. In case any of you would like to know, my Aux cable was included with the gps (sold separately). Anyway, I have no idea why the usb connection doesn't work. Maybe jvc intended the deck to be used with iphones or flash drives. Idk
