Droid X media volume not staying on.

Ok, so my daughter got ahold of my Droid X and now the media volume will not work. I have tried going to settings>volume>media volume and turning it all the way up and then hitting the okay button. But it always goes back down. Any ideas why and how tofix would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

Grab Audio Guru in the martket for free and use that for volume control. If it still drops down, it might be a hardware issue
