End of Life (EoL) means just what it sounds like. Your DroidX and thousands of other DroidX's will succumb to mass genocide sometime in March of 2011.

J/k. All EoL means is Verizon will have another phone out to replace the DX by then, and they will kill off the sales of DX. We watched it happen with the D1, the Eris, and several other phones. All it will mean to you is, you wont be able to walk into your local VZW store and buy a new DX off the shelf.

Oooh that makes sense.. but it also makes me mad!!! Why so early this phone just came out :( to me at least lol...

Most consumer electronics are outdated the first time you power then up. Its just the way it goes. Just because your device is EoL, doesnt mean you will need to get rid of it, it just means the corporate model is to push something new by then.

This happens to every phone. Plus, the X has been out since July d00d...

Yeah d00d, get with the program ;)

Just be happy in the fact that you are happy with your device. Most devices are outdated in less than a month or two. Then the carrier works on replacing it so it doesn't lose sales to other carriers. It's just how things work.
