Droid X Cursor Editing Tool

The DX has a great feature for detailed editing on text pages. Double clicking on any text opens a red bullseye with a little magnifying window to help us place the cursor in exactly the right place. Cool, but...

My problem is that I can't seem to control which side of my finger the little window pops up on. More often than not it seems to appear under the finger I'm using so I can't see it.

Does anyone know how to make the little window appear to the left, the center, or the right of where you place your fingertip?

Thx,
Jack

From what I've found, it assumes your finger is coming from the bottom. Naturally, it places the magnifier above the press (unless you're at the top of the screen, then it prefers the left, then the right)

So I would suggest positioning your finger such that it comes from the bottom
