Welcome to the forum. But, like you said, this has been beaten to death. If you search Droid vs iPhone, you'll pull up the previous million threads without yet another rehash.

I am 'borrowing' this reply from an earlier thread today. Moondonkey sums it up beautifully.

The Iphone is not for me.

I like the open source aspect of Android, and I really do not like how closed and limited apple makes everything. Apple does have some nice polish, but you pay for it with limitations.

Android is like a house you own, you can modify it pretty much however you like, it might take a little more work, but you can set it up exactly as you see fit.

Iphone is more like a rented furnished apartment, its all pretty much setup and ready for you, but there are more rules and you are limited on what you can change.
