Droid Thinks It's in the dock, no magnets anywhere

So every so often my Droid will randomly pop up that it's in the multimedia dock, and when I push the dock menu, the menu pops up again and the Droid starts spazzing out! Other threads have had similar issues with the magnet, except when this happens to me there are no magnets to be found. This will happen in the charger and also when it's unplugged. Here's some info about my Droid.

1. BB 2.0.1 current version.
2. Overclocked to 700 Mhz
3. Usually running hot when this happens. Around 35 C.

So this is officially driving me crazy. I've spent about an hour trying different kernels and roms and the droid still thinks it's in the dock. If this persists I'm probably going to end up swapping it for another phone.
