droid stuck on boot screen!

i have a moto droid flashed to cricket it was working well until i was messing with it trying to upgrade it and i did something wrong oviously,
i backed up my files and wen i restored the phone it turned off and i turned it bck up and it gets stuck on the green eye and just switches to the droidcricket screen and keeps going back and fort but never makes it to the homescreen,
i tried taking off the battery but it goes back to the same thing and i also tried leaving it like that for a day to see if it loads but it dosnt,
i tried the x thing and i hold it but it seems useless can someone help?!!!
