droid significantly slower

Within the last day my droid has become significantly slower than before. My text lags behind my fingers whe typing in handcent and in the browser. The homescreen takes forever to load up when exiting an app, and the screen takes forever to change orientation. I am running a rooted droid with bb v0.9 and adamz smoked glass theme.I am also running at 1.1ghz on chevys 5 slot kernel. Only 2/4 screens are full right now and I'm only using two widgets. Any ideas?

Thanks everyone

No live wallpapers, set cpu set at 1100max 250min. Don't know how to check benchmarks or do a power cycle/know what a power cycle is

Benchmarks are when you go into... System I believe in SetCPU and click Short benchmark / long benchmark, etc.

Power cycling is just shutting off a device and turning it back on. It clears memory that can sometimes be bogged down.

ah I think I fixed it. My set cpu said "scaling power save" and I switched it back to on demand. Thanks guys. While were here, do y'all have any tricks or tips to speed up the droid in general?

Agree, all it needs is a reset/power cycle/ turn it on turn it off. Whatever you want to call it. :)

You're using set cpu so I assume your rooted. Try different ROMs and see if any of them speed your Droid up.

This is going to produce the best results, to be quite honest.

Every CPU in each phone has tiny, tiny, tiny differences; each phone reacts differently to the individual ROMs and overclock kernels.

To see what works best for YOUR phone is to load them, see what makes it snappy and run with it.

Benchmarks: lower is 173ms and higher is 732ms. What does this mean?

the lower the number the faster the phone. When I was overclocking, I ran at 800mhz and would bench roughly 250-300.

I think stock would probably clock around 400-500, but that's just a guess.
