droid running sluggish

I took my droid back to Best Buy because I was getting static while listening to music and they gave me a replacement no hassle. The new phone seems to be running a little bit slower than the last one I had. Can notice this the most while in my contacts list scrolling up and down through the contacts. My question is do you think there is actually something wrong with the phone or am I imagining this one to run slower than the last? It has nothing to do with apps because it was running like that when I first got it and apps hasn't changed anything.

Did you try a batt pull /reset first? Then run with no apps installed?

No but I'll try the battery pull. What do you do just turn it off and pull the battery out and then turn it back on?

do the battey pull with the phone ON and leave it out for like 30 seconds
