Droid pro randomly rebooting

Maybe once a day when I go to slide the unlock, the phone freezes and reboots. Anybody else experience this??

I don't know about the freezing, but the random reboot issue is pretty common to all Pro users. It's been reported as a problem to Motorola via a number of different forums/channels. From what I understand, this is a common occurrence on Android phones and usually doesn't create a problem for the user. I'd check any app that you have downloaded and installed on the phone that may be causing the freezing problem. The only way I know to do that is uninstall any app that did not come with the phone...observe the phone for a day or so...if the phone does not freeze then you know it was an app...reinstall your downloaded apps one at a time a observe to see if the problem reoccurs. If it does then you know which downloaded app is causing you the problem. If you have a 3rd party task killer or something like that, that would be the first thing I got rid of.

Happening to my wife's Droid Pro as well. However, it isn't when she unlocks, its just at complete random, sometimes when she's using it and other times when it's just sitting on the table. I haven't uninstalled any apps to see if it's related but there aren't very many on there so I'd imagine it's the phone itself not an app. Also, every app she has on her phone I have on my original droid and I have no issues. YES I know they aren't the exact same OS build but still. Hope to test more soon and report back.

Yeah, mine reboots itself for no apparent reason also...about once or twice a week. I don't think the reboot is an app problem...I think the freezing problem hotkoto refers to is.

Have to root to remove boot sound. And camera shutter sound.

It's rooted. How would I turn it off?

I only know Root Explorer and paid for the app. Worked perfectly.

Yeah, if you're serious about wanting to make a lot of changes, including the boot up sound, Root Explorer is a must.
