Droid NOT Receiving or Sending Txts/Calls

Ok So I have had my Droid for a while now (its on Froyo).
Today it decided to randomly stop receiving and sending calls and texts. I cant even call my voicemail!
Also, when I try to make a call if I have 4 bars itll drop down to 2 or 1 bar(s).
I have tried restarting, taking out battery and i even called *228. Nothing helped.
PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!

At first I thought you had accidentally switched to airplane mode but if you can see bars then this is not the case.

I would call Verizon on another phone - you can get the number from the vzw.com website - and ask them to help you. They may be able to inspect your phone over the air and correct it or tell you that you need to go to your local Verizon store.

If your phone is Stock unrooted, then definitely bring it in to VZW, it is still under warranty...if it is rooted then some background information on what you have done recently pertaining to your phone will be helpful in solving your problem
