Droid Deleted All My Mesages

This is the second time it has happened

I don't know what I did the first time. But, the second time...I was trying to open messages, and it wouldn't work so i had to force close it.

So, I restarted my phone thinking that'll get it to work again.

Which it did, but all my messages were gone..

Why did that happen?

It's a known issue. There's quite a few threads about it. From what I've read there's no explanation and no solution but google is aware of it.

using any apps other than the stock messaging app? and many ppl have been reporting this issue, just something like SMS backup so when it does happen youre prepared
