Droid battery Voltage

My droid battery voltage is 4189 When fully charged. Is this normal? What is everyone elses. Check in Spare Parts. It gets lower as I use my battery.

Should be about normal. A 3.7V lipo battery reaches full charge at about 4.2V. I can't imagine a li-ion battery is much different in that regard.

Technically, a lipo is a li-ion, just a different type, they all fall under the class of lithium-ion.
therefore, 3.7 nominal, it's good practice on high current usage NEVER to fall below this voltage when unloaded, and 4.2 fully charged.
I tell this to many people, if I see a cell in one of the lipos in my rc boats (pulling 200 amps constant) drop below 3.5 ish, and it doesn't recover perfectly, I simply toss it in the garbage, most cell phones will let the battery drop to 3.2 unloaded every time.
I just got my first droid, what's a good (small) app to read battery voltage? Could I easily write one?

Got it, sorry for stealing the thread but is there a way to make it display the voltage instead of the percentage in the notification bar? I checked the voltage and unchecked percentage but it didn't work.

no i dont think so. those items under "text items displayed" pertain to what is displayed on the widget.
