BGR reports that the Motorola Droid 2 has the lowest return rate on VZW and the signal fluctuation issue is supposedly non-existant.

Droid 2 owners, your thoughts?.

On the fence about the Motorola DROID 2? Wondering if people are happy with the device? Well, we have been told that the Motorola DROID 2, according to one of our connects, has the lowest smartphone return rate on Verizon Wireless. Not only are people apparently thrilled with the device, but that pesky fluctuation issue with the antenna doesn’t seem to be a problem either, as we have also been informed that the DROID 2 has one of the lowest dropped call rates on the carrier. Who knew.

Well... could also be that only 11,000 units were sold in the first month or 2, I forget if it was one month or 2 months. Not saying the phone is bad at all, but when you start comparing return rates you also have to look at the total number sold.

my droid 1 was stolen and replaced it with the droid 2.
truthfully, i miss the original droid. the store didn't have any in stock and no certified preowned droids were in stock either.
the droid 2 is nice. waiting for the r2d2 version or might switch to the fascinate.

I think for the average everyday user the D2 is all one could ask for in a device, it's the U/G hacking community that has issues, and it's only the locked bootloader and blur that is holding it back for us

Yeah, what is the % return rate...that's more accurate of how good technically the phone is.

Bought a D2 for my younger brother. After tinkering with it for awhile he will be getting a slightly used D1. I'm not giving this thing up even though I have an DX as well. This is a really smooth, snappy and bug free device (at least in my experience) and I have no trouble believing that people are not returning these devices.

They would need to compare how long the Droid 2 is out compared to other phones. Maybe there'll be problems later on to cause returns.

I got the D2 on a contract upgrade while I was also getting my Second D1 being replaced after the Froyo update bricked it. Seeing as how I'm not a rooter, I am in love with the D2. The keyboard is miles better than the D1, and it's just alot faster and smoother. I wouldn't go back to a D1 unless I had to wait on a replacement D2.

I kinda miss my D1 but at the same time happy with the D2.

Besides the usual blur and bootloader comments my only complaint is I have found is that my 3g seems alittle spotty now.

Love my D2

I have had my D2 for a couple of weeks now and don't have the screen freeze issue my D1 had. In addition, battery seems to last a good day and a half with moderate use.

I am really loving my D2.

Yup. I love mine too. Since I got it on august 18, I'm always on it. I can't live without this phone.

Did they fix the inaccurate touch screen? Like you would press it and it would flick really fast to the end of the page? my refurb D1 does it just as my original D1

Motorola did prove that the Droid 1 had the worst touch screen out of two HTC phones and the iPhone 3GS..
