Driving Mode

Hi all. I am new to forum and did a search but unable to locate problem. I have the Razr Maxx and, for the most part, love the device. Especially since ICS update. Not really sure I want or need to root at this time. Anyway, here is my problem/annoying app. On the home screen prior to unlocking, the words "Driving Mode" are evident under under line that separates time and date from remainder of screen. Question 1} what is it? I do not have any aftermarket driving apps on phone. 2. What is purpose? 3. How do I clear it? Definitely a noob question and I feel like a square for asking but this has me stumped. Oh, by the way; wicked cool forum. Information out the gazoo.

I have found that you can edit that area in Settings/Security/owner info

Do you have any Smart Actions activated? There is a rule called driving, but you could rename it..just wasnt sure if you activated this? Do you have a car or lap dock? I know on my lapdock when I plug my phone into it..different "modes" show up on my phone. But I am not sure if this would resolve your issue.

Glad it worked. Was it SA? A friend told me his wife went "Suggestions" happy and activated a bunch of rules and didnt know why her phone was acting up.

I am not sure. Perhaps I mistook the banner on the homescreen with the driving mode selection in the smart actions. Either way, thanks for the tip. Was driving me battier the Michelle Bachman
