downloaded 2.2 OTA on droid 1 but....

I really want to use cyanogen mod roms. I am rooted, but just not sure if I can sill flash different roms with official froyo, And if so can I just use rom manager to do this?

Sorry guys really new to this any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you still have CW or SP recovery you can flash whatever ROM you want.
