Does overclocking wipe the Droid R2D2 UI?

I'm a noob, I know. Just wanted clarification.

No, over clocking does not do that. All it does is change the speed that the processor operates. To overclock your phone though, you need to gain root access however. That's not too hard to do, and it doesn't take wiping your phone or anything. Look in the stickies for guides to do that.

Thanks. My phone's already rooted & booted (whoaaaaaaa...lol). Now if you can point me to the overclock kernels, I'd really appreciate it! dancedroid

Im not sure about getting different kernals, but just do a market search for setcpu or droid2overclock and those should give you what you need to overclock.
