I took off my iShield protection and I REALLY like the feel of the droid better without it. Any long term usage infor without protection?? The screen seems pretty scratch resistant.

I'm using the clear snap on case sold by VZW.
I took it off for the first time to clean the phone today and was like "Damn, I really like it naked..."
I've owned 3 Blackberrys and never used any kind of screen/body protection and never had any problems. Don't know why I am so paranoid about the Droid though. My luck, if I leave the case off, I will drop it and run over it tomorrow on the way to work or something.

I used screen protector just in case, but I didn't like the feel of the Body Glove on my Droid, and I felt like it was loosening the slider. No problems.

Haven't had one on since I got mine around the middle of Nov. and still looks good as new.

i had the screen protector on until i read this thread and got pumped up ...now my screen is all naked, but i am stilll gonna keep my body armor:-)) coz i like it like that

Totally naked. I tried that hard silicone case that verizon offered but it didn't fit my Droid. At least I couldn't get it to fit.

The scratch resistant trap got me. I waited to order my phantom skinz and now have a nice little scratch to show for it. I will no longer go without a screen protector. Grain of sand could get you.

My first Droid didn't have a protector and got a nick in the screen even though I was very careful with it. I've gone through a few Droids since then and always use a screen protector now. I've tried all of the popular ones out there and the Seidio protector feels almost exactly like the naked screen. Not tacky at all and very very smooth.

I work heavy construction and kill cell phones. I have screen protection and the silicone cover available through Verizon. That said, I've already managed to break the camera lens cover built in to the battery cover. I do prefer the phone nekid, but common sense tells me to leave it wrapped.

Been naked since day three when I returned the body glove. I have it sit on my desk and frequently in jeans.

It's perfect expect for a ding in the speaker grill which doesnt bother me.

I had blackberrys for a long time and dropped them all the time without a problem... this of course is way heavier and has glass but I'm honestly not worried.

I recently dropped it on tile and not a scratch.
