Disable GO Launcher auto starting?

Is there any way I can make GO launcher only start once I select it from the applications list or is the only was to not use it is to temporarily uninstall it?

I am unsure as to your question. Do you want Go Launcher as your default launcher/home screen or not?

There should be apps like Home switcher that you could use. Make the stock launcher start up at launch and then go to a home switcher app to load Go.
