DI pictures?

The Moto Droid camera was increditerrible.

See what I did there? :D

Best camera phone I've ever had was a Samsung Omnia i910. Rivals the DI, imo.

i personally dont think there will be that much difference between a 5mp camera and an 8mp camera on a phone because the size of it is still do small to have real quality pictures. just as a packet sized digital camera and a slr with same mp. the slr will obviously look better becuase of the lense size. my .02

Heya,

We are not comparing camera phones to SLRs in this thread.

Thanks :)

Hate to put it this way... but based on how eleaborate the software alone is on the moto "not", makes you think the camera was a forced afterthought.

At least the Inc has a respectable sized lens and much "much" better software.

this. if you put the inc and the droid side by side you'll see the lens opening on the inc is noticeably larger than on the droid. toss in the better sw and a few more megapixels and it all adds up.

I don't think its the software really considering that the N1 uses the same camera software.

If you put the droid in nightmode for all shots it actually takes pretty good photos most of the time, you just really need something to keep it stable.

Hey, camera phones are adequate for taking some decent pics but there's no substitute for a "REAL" camera with some good lenses for taking great pictures.

I also have an Omnia, I miss the panoramic mode. To bad we can't port over the Omnia camera software.

Other things I miss from the WinMo world:
Slingbox
Skyfire version that runs HULU
Good boating nav software (NOAA Charts - GPS)

I know some of this is on the way, but I have a hard time waiting.
