Developer options on Jelly Bean

On ICS, it was recommended to set transition animation and animation scale settings to ".5" (from the default of 1.0) to improve performance...and indeed it did. Now that we have the "project butter" implementation on JB, is the ".5" setting still needed or recommended?

That's up to you.. if your phone performs the way you think it should or you want then leave it. If it is laggy or whatever then up the scale

Performance seems quite good. Only notice in Facebook app...and I honestly can't remember to say if ICS behaved this way too...but scrolling through items sometimes hesitates and thus not as smooth as all other normal browser sites. Stock browser, email, ...just about everything is very smooth. Probably not worth tinkering with settings just for one (fb) app.

To be honest.. Facebook on android sucks.. And that's an understatement. Facebook is gonna do that regardless of what you do. Same thing can be said about the stock browser .

I agree with rocket sauce... The stock browser works great... Chrome was draining my battery during idle and seemed to lag

I use both, but lean toward the stock browser. I also use Boat Browser. It's really what you like to use.

I stopped using the FB app long ago and use Friendcaster Pro.

I also like stock browser. Especially on pacman ROM. Also I agree about facebook app. I hate it. I have not even signed on to Facebook in over a year.

Not on my phone home fry. Stock flies. I do like chrome, dolphin, and boat as well. The worst I've tried is Firefox. That one is laggy as hell

Stock browser works well for me too. I've used dolphin in the past, but stock has improved in meeting dolphin's performance and functionality. Tried others but keep coming back to stock.

Ha...whatever dog. Just because your a foot taller than me I ain't skeered. You better wear your shin guards.

deduct, do you think anyone will try to get root on the Bionic not using Linux? I am not familiar with Linux at all. I looked at the step by step using it and a lot of the terminology is confusing to say the least. I agree about the Facebook app on Android, garbage! Even the online webpage is garbage. I always set it for "most recent" but it always goes back to "most popular" but I digress. lol
