Death of Android

Windows??? You gotta be kidding me. Where was the smiley face at the end of your post?

Edit: I see, you have your devilish smile on.

Bring it on...In the end more competition is better for all of us. Personally never use any smartphone with winmo (moto droid is my first) so I don't know how easy their UI.

There's really nothing wrong with WinMo. I mean as long as you are a rigid conformist and always have a paper clip around to poke the reset button, they are great.

I laughed out load at this, but if you had a Treo 750 like me it also brought back a little too much reality.

i'm thinking about getting an iphone (dont hate, i'll have both and switch off (if it comes ot vzw)) but i would never get a windows phone. EVER

You say that like Android is immune to freezing... at least on the WM phones there IS a reset button and you don't have to do a battery pull... Android users are about to become as bad as Apple fanboys...

If you played with cooked ROMs (at least on the better devices, sadly Treos are not in that group) there was nothing wrong with WM... actually in many ways a good cooked WM ROM offered a LOT of business uses that you simply can get on any Android ROM (email features, document editing, advanced calendar functions VOICE DIALING... on and on).

That said until Google makes an MP3 player AND has an music app/market in line with what M$ and Apple offer WM 7 phones (least the ones with Zune app/software) offer a real marketing thread to Android. Should one come to VZW I would likely switch, or at least have both devices. More and more people like the idea of having only one device and Zune has a decent market share and it's steadily growing.

MS missed out on a huge market share in the mobile phone industry and it's going to take alot more than a pretty OS to bring consumers back. Google has already got a decent stake in the marketshare just by appealing to people who are anti Apple for anything.

Android isn't as open-source as they tout it either. There's alot more you can do with a WinMo SDK kit than you can with ANY Android SDK.
