...how is that possible. The data throttling is not in Android itself is it? I thought it was a carrier by carrier network decision.

I would assume it's similar to manipulating the TCP/IP registry settings of windows...in a sense

Interesting stuff, but alas no love for me. Same rates (cm6.1.2). I checked my computer, and the phone on wifi mirrors my PC on the network (cabled). Looks like my bottleneck is in the string that runs from the tin can on my roof to the tin can on the repeater site at the top of our valley
