Data issues.

Have a new Samsung Galaxy S4 and live in a 4G area all my friends and family have 4G and mine has been in 3g for 2 days now. All settings are correct and global is off, not in roaming and cdma/lte is on what else can i do besides taking my new phone back do i have a defective device?
 
Has it ever had 4G?

If not, and you're on Verizon, maybe your sim card is bad. If so, Verizon should replace it for free.

Well just called around and it seems that my one daughter's is also on 3g and a Co - workers son is also on 3g and has been ever since our bad snow storm we got so I'll give it a few days a see if it doesn't fix it itself. If no change then I'll see if my card went nad. Thanks for the reply.
