Damaged SD card - NOT! How to fix?

After copying an mp3 file to my phone via USB it says "Damaged SD card". However if I pull the card and read it from my PC, it seems fine. I was able to copy all the contents to my PC.

So what gives? Can I somehow make my phone realize the error of its ways? Or do I have to reformat the card and then copy everything back?

I've got the 2.2 update. Standard Droid.

Any tips?

I had that happen to me because I pulled the USB cable out of my Mac and did not unmount/disconnect my SD card. I reformatted my SD card and have not had any issues since.
