Hey guys,
I've only had my Droid X (and my 1st smartphone) for about 3 weeks.
I love it
Well, i was introduced (from this site) to the car app Torque.
I had to have it, but needed somewhere to put my phone.

SO I did this:

And, before you ask, it DOES NOT move...I angled the sides in a bit, and with the texture of the case and the pressure, this phone has held in place so far up to 110 MPH.....so it's not coming out

Nice job man, I saw your thread on the other site but what do you do with the installation cd... is that to input your cars data on the laptop or do you need it to set up the module before putting it in your car. So all you need is the torque app and the obd module with wires and you are good to go?

Is this OBD plug a standard size on most cars, could I use it if I changed cars?

Wow nice job modding a steering wheel mount. Thinking about getting the torque app and the OBD II reader soon for a '97 chevy tahoe. Might do something similar to your setup but maybe fiberglass it. Looks like the app is well worth it and is pretty accurate

It's pretty much the programmer so you can still use a computer to look at the stuff going on in your vehicle...like the old testers.

The plug is universal for most vehicles made after a certain year....can't remember off the top of my head, but they cover a HUGE amount of vehicles.....go to their site.
