Like many other posts on here about connecting to computer, my droid x lists the server but when I try to connect it keeps asking for user and password. I don't normally use a password to log in on my windows xp machine, so I set up an administrative account with a password. It sees the right ip address but it keeps asking me for the correct user and password. I have typed them in correctly! I have tried rebooting the computer, tried turning the droid on and off. Still same annoying problem. Extremely annoying. Shouldn't have to spend hours on this. Can someone please help without this?
Edit: Okay so I enabled the guest account on my computer, which doesn't have a password. I logged onto this account and low and behold now I can access the server and the files on my computer from the droid. Doesn't make sense to me.
